Lovely watercolour style, David, I especially like the way the dogs are blended with the background, and that textured paper adds a lot of interest.

Thankyou Jenny,Heather and Liezel. The paper Jenny is Arches cold presses fine grained 100%cotton but being only 4x6” it looks more coarse grained. Louis is the dog on top.He was mine and I love him but had to give him to my son and his children.He is part Irish Wolfhound part German Shorthaired Pointer and 4 years old. He loves to cuddle in spite of his size and long legs . Daisy is much older but has learned to put up with him!

I'm an 81 year old retired surgeon . Art has been my lifelong obsession away from work and now my main focus in life together with woodwork. I enjoy creating and making in any medium but have always gravitated to drawing and watercolour. I've also had limited training in etching and sculpture.
