Eddie Saves the Day

I love a good piece of art that has a story to tell.

It works really well and I like the perspective, the detail - lots of tricky angles too

I agree, love the angle. Eddie is the focus but your drawing of the house/old school is wonderful. Also- we all need an Eddie!

Excellent picture

Excellent drawing David. Fine penwork, dip-pens are unforgiving but I love 'em.

Great rendition of a tricky work both in detail and perspective. Nice work David.

Really well done David, lots of lovely detail

Absolutely brilliant and a great story to go with it.

Thankyou everyone - glad you like it . I did enjoy doing it - in fact stayed in my pyjamas and dressing gown all day doing it and then the next day went to the Men's Shed making the wooden mount for it.

It's a really good piece - great execution!

An immaculately drawn piece, with superb contrast of shapes, details and angles. And the bonus of a good story. Lovely work!

Again thankyou -I value all of your feedback greatly , specially as I am finally exhibiting about 100 works in 6 weeks time for the Ross Bicentennial. Only a year late !

Eddie is a chainsaw carver and all round handyman and Firewood supplier. He came to our rescue when the chimney flue had to be replaced as the old one was 75% full of dead bees when we purchased the old 1860 Primary School. This is my latest Indian ink dip pen effort but I decided to use a greenish grey gouach for the sky.
