At the start of World War II the German Pocket Battleship Admiral Graf Spee was sinking all the merchant supply ships. She was eventually cornered in Montevideo where her captain scuttled her . Saw the film last night and that prompted the sketch. U.S.S. Salem, Battleship of the American navy played the part of the Graf Spee in the film. Mixed media sketch.
