Your write up about the boards is very interesting Val, (may I call you Val?) it sounds as though you could do some exciting effects. It hasn’t taken anything away from your beautiful wet in wet style, the colours are gorgeous. Look forward to seeing further experiments!

Thanks Fiona. Please do call me Val. I have even put a slighter darker wash across the foreground today and I do find these boards quite exciting to use. The only drawback is they are quite expensive compared with watercolour paper and I would not have wanted to make a mistake. I have a bigger one to use next. Take a deep breath !
