This is superb Val, love the colours.

That is so lovely Val-Irene.

Sumptuous! Obvious Turner influence well done.

Like this a lot it’s superb , some beautiful colours in there Val.

Thank you for the comments. It's strange my first love in art was turner and somehow now it is in my soul. I studied the way he painted many years ago and now its the way I paint. I love atmosphere, colour and dramatic skys.

Beautiful colours, a lovely painting.

All those different techniques have worked well (I love the colour palette)

Thanks Heather, its a tricky one with the darks. I overglazed them in deep red.

Beautiful Val-Irene.

So much to explore here Val-Irene and vert Turneresque.

Definitely Turner-esque, great job!

Wow, like it, Val–Irene

Whatever you’ve done to it Val, it’s worked a treat. A mix of media has produced a stunning impression of the subject.

If a piece of art is meant to make you look, your painting is captivating. Excellent.

I think these seasonal effects on our palettes are probably shared by many of us; certainly worked here, didn't it? An interesting scene, much to explore, rich golden light - result, a fascinating and attractive painting.

Back to oils again. Using the colours I seem to like for this time of year. Its strange how the different seasons affect my painting colours. Done just about everthing to this one scrumble, impasto, scrubbing off and many glazes.
