I can feel the scale and depth of this spectacular place Martin, love the rugged textures.

I really like the composition Martin, especially the view from the edge of the canyon.

What a fantastic scene Martin, beautifully painted with great tonal depth.

A wonderful landscape painting, you get a real feel for the terrain and that water is particularly good

Great view to paint from, super painting.

You've caught the depth and scale of this stunning Andalucian area superbly, Martin

Excellent

Tremendous! The way you’ve described the foliage and rock formation is superb. I keep coming back for another look

Thanks very much for your kind comments everyone. I enjoyed the challenge of this complex scene

This is a gutsy watercolor. The bottom half of the painting has more simplified shapes than the more abstract top half. It is a striking painting showing deep perspective and complicated terrain. Bravo for taking on this subject.

Thanks Lynne for your perceptive and positive comments. Very kind

It reminds me a bit of El Greco paintings of Toledo. Very expressive and dramatic

I’ll take that! Thanks very much Federico

Had a very wet and cold holiday last month in this area but managed a few sketches and lots of photos on which this is based. I posted a sketch last month from a slightly different place on the huge Puenta Nuevo which spans this spectacular gorge. Watercolour on Arches cp 14x11”
