Thanks very much Heather Marjorie Spencer and Dixie. Really appreciate your support. The textures were made by mixing paint with coarse and smooth modelling pastes. I thought they’d create dark shadows which would’ve been hard to achieve with yellow paint only.

Hang on Studio Wall

I was delighted to be asked to paint a monochrome canvas in one colour of the rainbow for a joint project to hang at Gomde, Lindholme Hall. It was to express how I feel about the place. I used abstracted images from my sketches of trees which are left to grow in peace there and the wetlands around the Hall which are being reestablished following peat extraction. I also incorporated the rainbow shape. Acrylic A2 size
