The cold wintery feel comes through. Those spidery branches are spot on and the touch of colour finishes it all perfectly.

It's lovely Martin!

This is really good Martin.

A perfect wintry scene!!

Love that wintry atmosphere you have captured so skilfully. In spite of winter, you can tell that everything is on the cusp of becoming alive.

Love this, Martin, superb mark making and very atmospheric. Those fine lines are spectacular

You should be more than "reasonably pleased" with this. It's lovely!

This is a particularly good sketch Martin, I like your mark making very much

Such beautiful trees that are drawn extremely well, I’d me more than pleased with such a lovely piece.

Terrific Martin.

Like this a lot, lovely work !!

The muted colours and still water evoke a sense of calm. Very good pen work too.

Thanks for your generous comments everyone. Very kind and much appreciated

Love those trees.

You've magically turned "glumness" into calm beauty. The choice of one "yellow" -based hue overall brings everything together into harmony. Delicate sky. Wonderful composition.

Beautifully drawn and you have captured the chilly atmosphere so well!

Excellent work!

Thanks very much Diane Lynne Anne Romila

Though it was a chilly and drab day I managed a sketch by the lake at Clumber Park. Typical luck was that we set off in brilliant sunshine and drove back in the same but had overcast glumness whilst we sketched. I was however reasonably pleased with my sketch in ink to which I added inktense pencil colour back home. On Canson Heritage watercolour paper cp 10x14” block
