Yup, we know that feeling! Very well drawn Martin.

Excellent artwork 👌

Wow what a tree! How could you not draw it, and an excellent job you've done.

Thanks Cory and Tessa. Ha yes don’t we all. Isn’t it great that we can empathise with an ancient tree.

Thanks Stephen Thanks Lewis. Yes I couldn’t resist this one. I must have felt a kindred spirit. Ha

A brilliant gnarled and twisted tree against a sombre background.

A fabulous study of a very well worn gnarled tree. If only trees could talk.

Very impressive, Martin. One of my favourite subjects and you captured it so well. Great!

Thanks Spencer. I think my experience was enhanced by being bitten by gnats or midges. I drew fast anyway!

Ancient Oak at Lindholme Hall. I’ve never seen such a convoluted old oak with hollow trunk and broken branches which have been left to nature. Battered but not beaten as fresh leaves have opened again this year. Nature is astonishing at times. I was told that the oaks here are over 300 years old. I wouldn’t be surprised. Started En plein air with Fude pen and completed in studio with watercolour. On Saunders not block 16x12”
