I love the colours in this and the way the composition leads your eye from the trees in the foreground to the trees on the left and then back along the water towards the horizon and the sky. It's very restful.

Hang on Studio Wall

Sketched in ink En plein air on a really unpromising day and completed with watercolour in studio. On Hatfield Moors and when I looked on Google maps to find the name of this particular lake I discovered it was dry land so can only have become a lake in very recent years. Shouldn’t have surprised me as the area was recently a peat extraction site. On Saunders hp 16x12”
