Snoring Giant by Martin S Taylor
Our last foreign holiday was before lockdown around 3 years ago exactly. We went to Sicily and it was one of our best holidays ever. Etna was a magnificent brooding presence and I sketched her several times. This view is from Taormina and was based on photos taken. I tried to capture the scale but I’m not sure I’ve done her justice but I thought I’d post it anyway. The painting took ages as it’s bigger than my normal at 100 x 70cm. Acrylic
