Love this, Martin and thought it very clever, indeed!

I love the colours that the black Quink ink splits into, those gorgeous blues and browns along side the blacks. I like your interpretation, individual and imaginative. Have you tried dropping either Milton or household bleach into the Quink, especially when it’s still wet to damp?

I'm not sure I can see the face but I like it!

Love those colours Martin - very expressive!

A successful experiment! I can certainly see the face.

Interesting result Martin, I like it.

Thanks very much David Fiona - no I haven’t tried bleach or Milton but I will- Heather Sarah Marjorie Spencer Diane. Always good to receive your feedback

I see a willow tree next to a river, with reflections in the water - but we all see different things! Love the separation, and the colours. It makes a very striking, original image.

That’s an interesting take on the image for which I’m delighted. Thanks for sharing Hilary

Playing with Quink I drew a linear horizon and added water to allow separation of the colours in the black ink. When it had dried I could see an eye so converted the image to a face of sorts. On Clairefontaine mixed media paper A4
