Fallen Tree Roots

Good sketch Martin (like the faint squirrel too!)

You did a great job Martin, squirrels can be diva's at times.

Excellent quick sketch Martin. Ha yes just found the squirrel.

A beautiful sketch, Martyn!

I like it.

Another top sketch, and the fleeting impression of the squirrel is good too.

I thought I saw two more squirrels ( what a lovely word that is) but I am drinking a glass of wine. An impressive and interesting sketch Martin.

Great sketch of interesting tree roots and I like the ghostly squirrel.

Love subjects like this Martin, and I like your mark making which brings the subject to life.

Thanks for commenting everyone. Squirrels are divas Bryan. Your wine may be good Marjorie but there is another squirrel in the foreground but he got a bit overrun and obscured by the hatching marks. He almost walked over my foot investigating this weird standing still human!

Thanks Thalia and Pastor

En plein air sketch done in Clumber Park yesterday. I was attracted in two ways to this. The first was the complex dynamic shape and the second was that it wasn’t far to walk! It was very cold and I could only manage an hour. I was visited by blue tits and squirrels but they refused to pose for long. If your eyes are good you may notice I managed a quick squiggle where a squirrel briefly stopped to examine me. Fude pen with carbon ink on watercolour paper A5
