Kluane Lake, Yukon Territory, Canada

I am sure this is beautiful memory of the gorgeos landscape, Tony!

Thanks for your comment Regloh. My daughters rented me an RV for a week so that I could travel through some of the beautiful Yukon Territory. It was in October so it was cold for plein air painting particularly as there was a 40 mph wind gusting down the Lake: Ah, the joys of painting! I love sharing my trips and painting with others.

Lovely gentle colours Tony..

The view: On the Alaska Highway, North West of Haines Junction, Kluane Lake runs parallel to the St Elias mountains and is fed by the run-off from this range. The St Elias mountains form the world's tallest coastal mountain range. This 7.5x7.5 inches watercolour painting is a layered view progressing from grassland, to the wind swept Lake, to foothills, to the mountains.
