In the days when you didn’t need to chain your bike up. Great little blast from the past Tom.

Thank you very much Jenny, 😊

Thanks very much Carole, yes, life was more care free 😊

Excellent painting Tony and brings lovely memories. As a child I lived in a row of about eight houses, of which the end one had a bakery at the rear, and we used to go every day or two to get fresh bread, and I do mean fresh! We often waited to see it come out of the oven, and as kids we liked to see it go in as well. Great days!

Ahhh thanks Tessa, that was a lovely story to read, i’m glad it sparked a memory, there’s just something special about the smell of feshly baked bread. Hope all is good ❤️

Superb in every respect! We have fresh bread here on Gozo....if only I was allowed out to fetch it!LOL Your recession in the old cbble stones is brilliant, as is the weave of the basket!

The low point of view adds real drama to this image.

Such a good painting Tony. You always paint with a narrative behind it which brings every painting alive

Absolutely superb painting Tony, it’s always so goo to see you superb artwork.

Great composition and lovely narrative, Tony.

A fine narrative Tony, and in a medium that I am too afraid to attempt. This brings me back over 55 years, to when I delivered meat, as a butchers boy, on a similar bike.

Excellently executed, Tony.

The early morning smell of warm freshly baked bread is what the villagers are looking forward to and so is the delivery boy who gets his freshly baked bun to eat on the way 😊 Winsor & newton watercolours Bockingford 300gsm paper Da-Vinci No4 & No2 brushes
