Umm, I don't know..LOL

Got to be Queen Elizabeth II! Very good!

I think the crowns a giveaway, very good Thea!!

I like the jewel like splatters, the twinkle in her eye and it's a super portrait !

It's my late Auntie Hilda - seeing Hilda squiffy was a magnificent spectacle: she'd draw herself up to her not inconsiderable height, almost close her eyes, and sail from the room by walking with the kind of care you'd show if you were trying to balance a book on your head. In this case, I see you've replaced the book with a tiara - which Hilda would have loved to wear.... I still think that on the whole I'll stick to looking at the paper, but this method produces interesting results .... and probably drawing upside down is quite an instructive thing to do, as well as being fun, because you tend to concentrate more on shapes and blocks of tone: it also I think helps you to forget, when drawing a portrait, that you're trying to draw a mouth, or a nose - it (as it were) depersonalizes the shape - and I think you tend to worry less about getting it right because it doesn't make the same kind of sense the wrong way up: you can't tell until you turn the paper over if you've got a likeness or not. Doing it the right way up, you can worry and worry away at a feature, until you overwork it with graphite especially to such an extent you can never get it back to anything resembling, eg, a human mouth.

Her Madge perhaps? Nice one, your O B E on its way !

That's the Queen! Lovely portrait Thea, she looks so happy there!

Auntie Hilda's surname wasn't Ogden was it? You can take over Rolf Harris's role as a Royal portraiter (just invented that word - good 'ent it.) - not that anyone would want to follow in his footsteps.

Not very often you see the Queen smile, I think if she saw this, she certainly would, neat work :)

A very jolly queen...nearly as good as your cow.

'We' are most amused! Great stuff Thea.

She does have a good sense of humour, is the rumour! Well captured.

Yes I know her Thea, not personally though!

Oh this is brilliant, Thea! I love that very jolly expression and the "we're very amused" smile!
