I am only just getting back into 'proper' painting after a few months of doing pen and wash and one liners and I am finding it a bit strange I confess and your encouraging comments have given my flagging confidence a nice boost.

What a lovely reminder of childhood, captures the moment well, we didn't go that often, but when we did I was always nagging my parents to know what time the donkeys would be coming to the beach. One year I found a three pence piece in the sand, joy, oh, joy two rides that day.

This is so well balanced Thea and well constructed. Three lovely donkeys, the larger, darker coloured one in the centre, looking at us inquisitively and two more subdued lookers either side. It works so well, together with the touch of humour in that you've told us their names, Bonny, Jack and Turpin! What super names and what a super painting!!

Kal, I am not sure I am going to get any painting done for the next 6 months - I'll be too busy trying to work out how this new site works and how to get rid of the very annoying video add which keeps popping up on the right of my screen. I hope that isn't the price we are going to have to pay for the new improved site!!

Hi Dennis, I am struggling with the site as well. I can't actually see what has improved? The forum and blog area still allows people to go by weird names rather than their proper names which would make it easier to find specific people's comments or blogs. There doesn't seem to be any directive about the number of postings on the gallery, as we all hoped for. The font is difficult to read and there is random written information scattered all over each page. Come back old POL - all is forgiven!
