Oh this is brilliant, Thea! How well you have captured Tabitha's mood, and the set of her mouth. I think the hair is very well done, those 'squiggles' are typical of wet strands of hair. I am going to have a look at your gallery now, for a catch-up, seem to have missed quite a lot of your work recently.

Terrific portrait Thea. You have caught the expression perfectly.

Portraits are so difficult but to capture Tabitha's cross expression as well takes some skill. Very well done!!

What an expression and you have caught it perfectly Thea. Those eyes and the shape of her mouth say it all.

Great portrait and expression caught perfectly

What a steely stare! Very well captured Thea.

Thank you so much Ruth, Fred, Louise, Val, Glennis and Fiona for such lovely comments. I love capturing these little moments in the grandchildren's lives - hope they don't mind too much when I dig them out in a few years to show their respective boyfriend/girlfriends!

Oh how I know this look - great study Thea

Thanks very much, Michael, appreciate your comment. How come girls are so good at that look?? My three grandsons have never pouted like that in their lives!

Wonderful! It's all been said by others. Love it.

Help! - that is a killer stare alright, and as you say little girls seem to master it from a very early age!

Oh wonderful scowl and super painting. Marvellous gallery too. Also thought your picture on the front page of Paint super, such movement and action!

Thank you very much Sue, Debs and Pat for your very nice comments. As you say Debs, a real killer stare! Pat, thank you for your comment about the Paint mag cover - it is very kind of you.

A wonderful portrait Thea, she will love this in later years!

Thank you again Pat, Petra and Carole for such nice comments which are much appreciated.

This is a gorgeous portrait, Thea! There is so much personality that you've captured in that delightful study. And I love the disgruntled look!

Thank you very much, Seok. I couldn't help laughing at Tabitha when she pulled this look out of the bag....didn't work though as her Mummy didn't hand over the Coke!

This is my nearly 3 year old grand-daughter, Tabitha. We were on the beach on holiday in France and she wanted to have some of her Mummy's Coke and was told that she was too young - hence 'the look' - most displeased about it! I managed to take a photo at just the right moment. Several challenges for me with this portrait - wet hair (and I always struggle with hair) and getting the expression right. ( I'll show this to Tabitha when she is a teenager as we will probably are see a lot more of this look in those years lol!)
