Thank you so much Jo, David, Tessa, Heather, Martin, John, Lou, Carole, and Angela. Yes indeed John! The sky was for real! I scratched into the paint for the lightening! Yes, Heather, it was the final study on Studio Talk before the Christmas break, but as usual, I went off piste!!!

Prophetic! Or perhaps Apocalyptic!! Painted whilst watching a terrific thunder a lightening display outside my studio window! Very much my own 'take' on a painting by Heade, the 'giant' on the beach is actually a statue of Our Lady!
