Salt Pans Qbajjar

This is wonderful and has great impact through perspective

I agree with Heather, plus the colours are lovely. The darker foreground really emphasises the sunshine beyond.

I really like this - great sense of place.

This has a real freshness to it.

A lovely scene and painted so well.

Wonderful, Thalia, there seems to be interaction in the movement of the clouds and the sea and your darks underpin it all. Terrific.

Thank you all for such lovely comments. It was irresistably painted in quite a frenzy of enthusiastic brush and knife work, very quickly, to emphasise the drama! Thank you so much, Heather< Marjorie, Sarah, Tony, Russell, Paul, and Willie. I really appreciate your comments!

I agree it's a great composition and very well painted.

Super dramatic shapes and atmosphere Thalia.

Beautiful Thalia!!

Terrific Thalia, for all the reasons already stated.

I really like the painterly quality in this one.

Thank you very much, Diane, Carole, Audrey, Fiona, and Elaine, much appreciate your kind comments

Agree with Heather, love this Thalia.

Painted from my friend Simon Johnson's photo with his kind permission, this is another view of our beautiful ancient salt pans. I love the composition and the dramatic forground. My village, Zebbug, can be seen, top left. I used a very limited palette of just 6 colours, plus white.
