Well I wouldn't dream of trying to give you advice, but I do know I love this painting. Really super. The old twisted trees , the traffic in the background. Great.

I agree with Seth, this is a wonderful painting, it's bustling with life and energy. Super work.

This is a very natural, lovely painting with so much to absorb and enjoy. Love the bold energy. I only say this because I love this painting but wondered if the vertical section where the blue car is, could be made a lot lighter. I think this would give the rest of the painting a great lift. The contrast would make your painting really sing. I think, but it's only my humble opinion.

It's a cracker Thalia complete with expression and rhythm lovely jubbly

It is complicated Thalia. However, it did catch my eye, and after a close inspection it works. I may have knocked the colour and detail back a touch on the far buildings, but it's good as it is.

Nothing wrong with this at all Thalia, it has good energy a lovely feeling of warmth in the foreground and the reflection on the table is great. What I do see is the potential for another painting using the same subject. I would focus on that lovely reflection on the table introduce a person perhaps having a drink and maybe a waiter and just knock the background back into general shapes with very little detail. With your permission I would like to have a go and post the result.

Love the colours in this Thalia, an interesting scene.

Thank you everyone! Seth, you're so sweet, and sure I'll take advice from you and anyone! Lewis, and Dennis, thank you very much! Barry, I would feel honoured for you to have a go at it and would be very interested to see the result. Youhave all been so helpful with your comments. Carole Alan and Barry, I will take on board all that you say and have another go at it.

Love the shine on the table and the trees very appealing.

This started life as a plein air, but I got so cold I had to take a picture and return home. It's a very complicated scene, and I'm not at all sure whether it works. I used almost every trick I know in it! On Arches rough, a paper I don't often use, as I find it hard to work on plein air here. Not sure if the humidity affects it. Would be very grateful for advice on this one!
