Thank you for such lovely kind comments, Lewis, Alan, Sandra, Brian, Jim and Lesley.Actually Sandra, I often paint this kind of subject, and yes, Brian I did stare at it for ages when it was in the field and took photos of it, Most of these iconic old wrecks are now removed, so it was a good job I took loads of pics! I've made series if paintings in the past!
