The painting of the palm trees is truly effective and I always admire your colour renditions.

Thank you very much, Stephen, a really kind comment!

- And those shadows are brilliant Thalia. I do agree with Stephen about your use of colour too,

I like this, Thalia. A great feeling of space and depth in this picture.

Beautiful work Thalia, I like the buildings and the bold shadows.

Wow I love that blue shadow Thalia. A well balanced composition.

Smashing capture of he scene Thalia. Great contrast between sun and shadow and inventive use of the blues. Nice work.

The sunshine seeps off your canvas.

Really beautiful, the comb brush has certainly made a great job of the palm trees. Love the rich blue shadows contrasting with the lovely bright light.

Great painting Thalia, those shadows ......!

Love the light and shadows Thalia. Your colours always sing. What a wonderful, quaint little market. You're lucky to live in such an inspiring place.

Like the comb effect on the palm trees.Love the architecture, and the feeling of space.

Very nice painting Thalia

Lovely work, like the contrast between the sunny and shaded sides of the street, perhaps the blue is a little stark?

The palms look great, your technique worked a treat and the whole painting is super.

Lovely townscape Thalia. Excellent composition.

Thank you I really do appreciate your kind words Marjorie, Lewis, Cesare, John, Jim, Tony, Sandra,[first time I've used it...forgotten I'd got one!!!] and Russell.

Thank you, Carole, yes I am lucky I really enjoy it here! Thank you Annick, it's kept its character so far...many other villages have lost the plot...literally and figuratively! Thanks Dennis glad you like it, thanks Stephen...think it was the camera and the light when we photographed it in reality not so glaring, I hope! Thank you Margaret B and Margaret N. These are such encouraging comments, Thank you everyone!

Glorious light, Thalia, perfectly enhanced by your marvellous shadows. Top drawer! Bri

I was trying out different techniques in this painting, on Bockingford rough, 7x10ins, I used a synthetic comb brush for the palm trees. Marsaxlokk[ pronounced Marsashlokk] Malta, has one of the biggest markets and the harbour still has many true luzzus.
