Thanks, Stephen, I'm experimenting a lot, this was over a previously used board, so loads of lumps and bumps, no chance to fiddle using a huge straight edged brush and a few extra darks with the knife and cotton bud!!! Thanks, Jim, Mdina is the old capitol of Malta, and only allows a few cars and delivery vans into its precincts...we all wish other cities here would follow suite!!! Thanks, Marjorie, Heather, Carole, Fiona and Lewis. I enjoyed myself so much I'm doing some more on top of old tiny paintings!!! Carole, I just prepare a load of paint and dip in without thinking too much or following the image in detail! Go for it!

The new technique is a success in my mind Thalia. Using a large brush and restricting the detail has resulted in lovely loose impressionistic painting.

Don't know how you did this with the tools you used, but it is brilliant.
