This is a beauty Thalia.

Another stunner Thalia, every one a winner.

Agree it didn't need it, super work again Thalia.

Such simplicity within a busy scene is a tremondous skill to achieve Thalia.

I'm always amazed how much detail you can get in these lovely paintings without making them look too "cluttered".

Beautiful boat work as ever Thalia. This is a superb one.

Great seascape Thalia, I like the restricted palette.

Fantastic work Thalia! Such a busy scene but the space in the bottom left corner makes it easy on the eye. I love how you guide the viewers eye from the front boats toward the back.

More of your delicious darks Thalia, you do great boats!

You capture these scenes beautifully, Thalia.

Oh my word! Thank you so much everyone, you'll never know what today's comments mean ...hanging the next exhibition tomorrow and feeling very full of self doubt! You've all given so many helpful comments. Thanks Barry, loved your post, hope to see more from your courses with Steve and Amanda. Thank you Carole, your post today was gorgeous, too! Thank you Alan, so helpful that you also agree...I agonised over it! Thank you Carole, a really kind comment. Thank you Sandra, using a limited palette helps to achieve that, as much is tonal, and hinted at, the viewer does the work!!! I'm lazy at heart!!! Thanks Jim, for all your kind encouragement! Thank you Pat, kind of you to say that! Thank you Ibolya, praise indeed, a really helpful comment, thank you Fiona, You're very sweet...just love thick juicy paint!

Love the use of complimentary colours in a limited palette, love all your paintings ,Thalia, relax and enjoy your exhibition tomorrow. :)

This is fabulous Thalia, it looks a complicated scene to me but you have handled it so well, gorgeous!

Great work, love the composition Thalia

Wishing you every success with your exhibition. I know we all have self doubt but you are one of the artists who really have no reason to doubt yourself, your work is just beautiful, and obviously from all the comments very well liked indeed. Do let us know how it goes.

You have a great patience (and skill of course) with these busy scenes filled with boats, Thalia.

I love the contrast between the little boats and the ferries. Really good composition.

Beautiful Thalia as always.

A cracker. I doubt I'd be brave enough to tackle all those boats and ships...you've done it effortlessly.

Thank you so very much, Annick really sweet of you, and Margaret, Petra, Cesare, Russell, Dorothy, Tessa, and Lewis. Thank you for those kind thoughts, Sandra, yes indeed, we all doubt ourselves, especially when we're 'on show'! I'll tell you all how I'm doing...on for a month, and I'm there painting throughout again! Mad!!!

I considered putting a fisherman on the slipway, but decided to leave it as a few lead in marks, as it's already a very busy scene. Mgarr Harbour with the 'Gaudos' and 'Ta Pinu' ferries in the background.
