Wonderful painting, Thalia, and great colours. The foreground boats are SO striking. I always thoroughly enjoy your blending of the ancient with the new. There's a sense of history in your paintings that remind me of the ancient Med, when the Greeks and Romans were rampaging all over the place. I would stop to look at this piece any day of the week. Lovely. Bri

Beautiful painting Thalia. You're doing wonderfully with your prize, I hope you enjoy using it for your lovely paintings for a long time to come.

This looks a busy place. Colourful and sunlit as ever. Lovely work.

Well done prizewinner. Another top painting.

Looks like your new paints are well suited to your lovely colourful paintings Thalia, well done 😃

Another beautiful painting Thalia :)

Congratulations on your prize too! Hope you enjoy your prize - colours look great.

Another smasher that assaults the senses Thalia.

This painting is as brilliant as the colours! It's a really lovely painting Thalia.

Thank you, Brian, that's the 'eye' found on so many Mediterranean boats. I assume the arches here were originally boat houses, as theyre found in most harbours here, but boats now are spilling out everywhere! Thank you, Sandra, Lewis, Jim, Linda and Margaret, much appreciated. Yes, I'm enjoying the paints and the book by Jean Haines too! Some useful stuff in it!

The Daniel Smith worked very well in your hands, Thalia.

I'm showing off my prize!! Used my new Daniel Smith paints for some of this ... they are a real delight to work with and very strongly pigmented! This is the arches in Spinola Bay, on Malta, in the harbour.
