Blue Lagoon WIP

I think this would make a glorious painting. Go for it, Thalia.

The distance seems right to me. I agree about the lake being developed, just a little. The middle ground and foreground need some work but focus is missing mainly on the foreground. If there was something to include which draws the eye. Not a lot to do, I think. It's a great composition.

I don’t know the scene Thalia but yes it looks like the water is waiting for more depth and colour. I’m sure you will bring in the greens of the foreground and the sandy colours, but I wouldn’t presume to advise you! In general I like your sky and the sketch so far and I’m sure it’ll make another cracker! Look forward to seeing it.

Looking like a really good painting already, perhaps just a little bit deeper blue in the right hand corner of the lake but I'm sure it will be a fine painting whatever you decide. Linda

Thank you Seth, Michael, Tessa, and Linda. Your comments are all very valid and much appreciated. Just for information, it's called a lagoon, but is in fact all part of the sea around the tiny islands...confusing, I know!
