Looks like that old shed is keeping an eye on us Tessa.

Super painting Tessa, a really simple subject that works well.

I feel like that shed today. Old and broken. It's a fab painting.

Ha ha.....brilliant Tessa, love the words and I love the poor old shed!

Super poem and excellent painting. The loose style and bold strokes work a treat, Tessa. Yip! That shed is goosed! lol Poor old shed, I’ve lost my head, my roof is holed, I’m feeling old, I’m really past my best. I’m overgrown, and quite alone, my tools have rust, the windows bust, and no one seems to care. Even the birds, who made a home, have fledged away and flown. I’m down and out, I have no use. A lick of paint would surely do. Anyone help? Could that be you? Bri

Thank you so much Marjorie, Alan, Jennifer, Fiona and Bri, for all your lovely comments. This poor old shed is at our local allotments and I took a photo last week when walking the dog past, and noticed the hole in the roof etc. It was just asking to be painted, in more ways than one!

Very effective painting and I love the poem Tessa.

Oh I love this, so well done Tessa and I love the poem to go with it, thanks Tessa!

Many thanks Sandra and Carole. Pleased you liked the poem as well!

Super work Tessa, such a great subject and your poem is marvellous! We have (had) an old barn which has been getting steadily worse for wear and on Boxing day I got up to find it had toppled right over like a pack of cards! Your poem could have bee written for that too😄😄

Thanks Margaret, poor barn as well! Is yours a repair/rebuild job? - or maybe glad to get rid of it?

Love the painting and the poem nice one Tessa.

Cheers Barry!

Maybe your poem could be the subject of February's forum challenge, such al to to go at in those few lines? Strong painting with those bold marks.

Gosh thank you John, what a thought, might not be any more popular than the January challenge when it started! I think we are actually mostly looking forward to the February one, now we’ve got into it and offered so many different versions!
