Blossoms and Bird Box

Comments

That’s lovely Tessa. Every year I attempt to paint or draw blossoms and find it so difficult. I love the star of the show. Bird box

Many thanks Diana and Dixie and yes I also found it difficult to get the right amount of detail or non detail for the blossom! The bird box is permanently under attack by crows because there are bird feeders near it in next doors garden! Pesky things.

Lovely painting Tessa.

Gorgeously light touches tessa and such a nice painting.

Love it, so good Tessa and keep those cuppas coming!

This is beautiful Tessa.

Oh I love this , absolutely beautiful!!

Thank you all so much for the lovely comments and encouragement, and yes I can’t paint without tea Heather!

Beautifully done Tessa.

Thank you Chris, much appreciated.

Love how the blossom goes off into the sky Tessa. A delightful painting which radiates light, warmth and sunshine.

Lovely work Tessa, I see what you mean about the similarity to my little pastel, a single tree in the artists garden.

Thank you Carole, that’s very kind.

Many thanks Stephen. Can’t beat a good tree!

A lovely painting Tessa - reminds me of some of Van Gogh’s blossom trees. Beautiful palette - the bird box is wonderful!

Thank you Marjorie. I appreciate that very much.

Immediately thought Van Gogh also Tessa, it has that kind of flow of subject and paint moving together. Love the bird box! A delightful and joyous painting.

Thank you Fiona. I must admit I was thinking of Van Gochs style when painting the sky and upper part of the view.

Lovely Tessa. Brings to mind Pissarro’s impressionist style

Ooooh lovely thank you Martin!

Thank you Geoffrey.

Thank you Spencer.

A3 oil on board of the large pear tree and apple tree at the end of our garden, view from my studio/spare bedroom! I have painted this over two weeks during which the sky kept changing , blossoms came and changed colour. This was as near as I could get to plein air at the moment, more comfortable with a cuppa to hand!
