Excelleny painting Tessa

A lovely painting Tessa, thanks for the background information.

Lovely fluid feel to this Tessa.

Thank you George, Dixie, and Marjorie. The painting hasn’t uploaded in the same brighter colours as it appears in real life, but there we go- it happens!

A truly beautiful painting, Tessa!!

Terrific composition

Lovely work Tessa.

Many thanks David, Chris and Denise.

Well painted scene Tessa.

Thanks Sandra.

Interesting narrative and a super painting Tessa, full of glorious light

Lovely tones in the foliage Tessa. How unusual a place for a lighthouse. Love the reflections and a very interesting narrative.

Many thanks Heather and Carole. The lighthouse isn’t full size Carole, and actually quite close to the edge of the lake. I’ve known it since childhood so I don’t think of it as unusual but now you mention it it obviously is!

Love your palette Tessa, especially the variety of greens…..great reflections.

Interesting painting and place Tessa.

Fiona has said what I was thinking. A lovely painting.

Lovely light on the lighthouse Tessa, and in the trees. Super reflections too. I have to confess, we haven't visited the park yet! Something we need to rectify by the sound of it; sounds an interesting place.

Ah thank you ladies, I some how missed these last comments- don’t think they created the usual reminder. 🫣 Karen, yes you need to visit! It’s a place that attracts a huge number of swans, geese etc, also the gardens attached are lovely in the summer.

Beautiful work

An A4 acrylic on watercolour paper of one of my favourite places. Roath Park lake and gardens are a beautiful area well worth visiting. The lighthouse is a memorial to Captain Scott and his team who sailed from Cardiff to locate the South Pole in 1910 and never returned. A plaque on the lighthouse reads “Britons all, and very gallant gentlemen “.
