A trio of beautiful lilies
I saw these Calla lilies in a vase and decided to paint them. Easier said than done. Over 3-4 days tried to get the curl of the petals just right but couldn't manage it. Either too thick or with multiple breaks in it. I needed a smooth curving line. Then i had a thought which worked. Incidentally, the white spaces along the leaves and at the bottom half are intentional to allow the three flowers to stand out. I think a full blue background would not have been as effective. Acrylic on A4 paper.
