thanks again for your comments. my daughter introduced me to Rothko's style. this was my version the text above got distorted as i must have used some letters which are not recognised by the system here. after the oild dried, if i recall, i used a roller for visual effect - paint on paint.

This is oil on canvas board. I like Rothko's style and hence this effort â€“ yes, there are more colours than Rothko might have used but itâ€™s an experiment as I have never painted using just one or two colours â€“ my next painting does try and follow Rothko more strictly.
