First time I've tried painting a nighttime scene, and I'm pleased with how it turned out. I learned a lot about value and the way that colours and tones work together. Some of the snow looks dark grey on the palette, for example, but still looks like snow when placed next to an even darker grey! There is also no pure white anywhere, even in the street light.
