Painting this taught me that a great looking photo isn't always easy to translate into a painting! It's based on a photo of my son, and although I'm happy with the final likeness, it took a lot of work! I'll have to try to persuade someone to sit for me, so that I can choose the lighting! I first started painting in March 2017 after a starter box of acrylic paints had sat on my shelf for fifteen years. After sorting out the tubes that had dried up and buying a better selection of brushes, I finally jumped into this wonderful hobby and I'm thoroughly enjoying it.
