These two paintings, Parting and Rejection, are just great. They can stand individually or together. As always, Stephen, I admire your choice of palette and your masterly brush strokes. Permit me a little imagination; looking at The Parting and the left hand, dark figure, one cannot help noticing the pose and the poise, the slight tilt of the head, the slant of the shoulders, the jutted left hip. Could this figure actually be another woman?
