Love this one too, Stephen - you've introduced some darker tones in the right foreground which make this one a bit different, and great figures, simply but so effectively painted.

Beautiful painting Stephen, great colours and composition

Was this one inspired by todays weather Stephen?Lol! A lovely scene as usual Stephen .....like it very much.

Great composition and I love the figures breaking the skyline.

Agree with Michael re the composition and that you have placed the girl in the red dress so that it brings the eye to the middle ground so you take in the whole picture.

Thank you Jane, yes a little bit of a Seago influence I think.

Thanks Fiona, didnt give the weather too much thought lol, just trying to give a little movement.

Thank you Michael, yes it always adds to the composition I think.

Thank you Joy,how nice to hear from you.

Again, you've pulled off a special one! I particularly like those little calligraphic touches, which do so much to enliven the paint surface and provide extra interest.

Thanks again Robert, those last minute touches are always the highlight to me,they can turn a painting from ordinary to special but can also be overdoe as well.

Another beautiful piece, Stephen. Love the balance created in this painting by the contrast of the vast expanse of the sky and sea with the detail on the shore.
