You could - I don't say you should - have done without the foreground figures in this; in some ways it would have had more impact, but then in others it would have been more bleak. Had you done this, you might have left out the wooden structures in the mid-foreground as well. All a matter of choice - gorgeous colour, again, and all pervading light.
