There is a lovely 'creamy' texture about this (don't know how else to describe it) that is all your own - lovely technique and a great painting.

Stunning use of colours. I don't know how you manage it in quite a flat field and simple horizon type painting , but the distance perspective comes through really well.....especially in the clouds and how the posts lead zig zag to the mill. Brilliant

I agree with Michael, you have a wonderful expressive way with landscapes Stephen.

This one has quite a different feel from your more watery paintings, Stephen but very lovely all the same. I love the yellows (naples yellow with additions?) against the blues - your signature colours again.

Lovely painting Michael, beautiful colours

I bet they're buzzards, not eagles .... but Where Buzzards Dare doesn't have quite the same cachet.... It's a brilliant painting, this palette works so well for you; and if you don't paint en plein air, it looks as though you do.

Wonderful painting with a super creamy palette. It is an area I know very well and I can see how well you have captures the vastness of the skies and scenery.

Thank you Jane, yes Naples yellow with cadmium orange.

Thanks Robert, maybe it looks plein airy because I work very quickly?
