Another wonderful painting Stephen full of energy and life. I would love to attend one of your classes, but I probably wouldn't make it there and back in a day!!!

Thanks Fiona, not sure where you live?. This was painted last night at an adult education class I do locally for beginners. There is a class being run by Thewaterfront Studio in Ipswich but its a 2 day session.

Another lovely, bright, cheering painting Stephen. They must look great 'on the wall' - well done.

Almost opposite ends of the British Isle's Stephen......I'm in North West Scotland! Thank you for the information.

Yeeeahhh........not bad! (Only kidding). Love this one, Stephen. I will check out your web site re classes and distance to Ipswich. I live in Spilsby, Lincolnshire.

By the way; do you teach the use of acrylics?

A beach I know well. I once got cut off by one of the channels that form and I had to wade to safety, fully clothed and waist deep with my dog swimming beside me - very scary. This is a wonder depiction of the beach - super colours and all the feeling of the open spaces and colours of Norfolk.

Thea has hit this one bang on the head - the sense of space it conveys is astonishing: plus the incredible quality of the light, and the sheer freshness of the colour. I can't say it's one of your best, because everything you've shown has been exemplary, but it's the one I've enjoyed the most, against the most rigorous competition.

I agree with all the above . Lovely fresh work full of space and air

I agree with everyone. Stunning painting, great composition and colours

Thanks Robert, probably because it was painted quicklyas the demo room was very hot and the paint was drying rapidly.

Nearly missed this one! Agree totally with Robert's comments, Stephen - the colours, the light and the feeling of space together are uplifting. Fabulous!

Beautiful work I love beach scenes they are my favourite subject seeing that I live by the sea Bill Truslove www.billspastelart.com

love this. We used to walk on this beach every Christmas day when I was a child. Fewer windbreaks and shorts in evidence then though. Beautiful colours and sense of British summertime. I particularly like the colours on the figures and the reflections.

Beautiful, Stephen, as usual.
