Many thanks Willie, I always felt Ron was underrated as. a teacher. I learned a lot from his books and still have one of his hakes, which I find good for texture.

Very many thanks everyone for your encouraging thoughts, much appreciated. He obviously thought long and hard about the composition in his paintings. The sky arranged so that the dark tree stands out against the yellow part of the sky, which is complemented by the purpleish darker part. I rarely change things like that.
