I love charcoal sketches Stephen, a great job with this scene, nice trees on the bank.

Nice sketch, and good to see someone using charcoal.

I’ve looked at both and, like you, I think I prefer the simplicity of the sketch, maybe it leaves more to the imagination. I’m not very good at critique speak but I know what I like.
