A real eye catcher, Seok. Love the spontaneity in the way you painted it. Did you use a pencil first or did you start with paint immediately?

Thanks very much, Mia! I think I did three quarters of it without a preliminary sketch but lost my nerve somewhere near the bottom part of the bird!

Beautiful.

This is really lovely.

Gorgeous, Seok, love the soft colours.

Great looking bird Seok, and lovely handling of watercolour.

That's so beautiful Seok, such soft colours beautifully painted.

Lovely colours so complimentry!!

Love this - it’s so beautiful Seok :-)

Lovely soft colours in your painting. Do you prefer hot pressed paper for your watercolours?

That is fabulous Seok, love the soft colours.

Love the way The pigeon almost disappears into the sky, giving a sense of movement. Those. Colours are so soft and iridescent and beautifully applied. A wonderful watercolour you should be extremely proud of. Have never used hot pressed paper. Do the colours flow as well on this paper?

Stunning application of watercolour Seok. Clean and transparent.

Beautiful, Seok.

Thank you very much, everyone! Carole, I rather like using hot-pressed paper as I find they provide a more transparent finish. However, I confess that Fabriano hot-pressed paper is not my favorite as it has a slightly yellowish tinge. I happened to have some lying around, so I used it for this piece, but my usual preferred hot-pressed paper is by Arches, which has a whiter and brighter sheen.

Beautiful and delicate.

Thank you, Jacky.
