Exactly what the tittle says, old faithful! Must feel like an old family friend Seok. You have it a new life in your beautiful painting! What an interesting story too. You could send us some biscuits to taste!!

I love the stories that accompany your paintings Seok, they help to bring your lovely art work to life!

Thanks for the evocative background to this delightful cronky lorry. You've done the canvas brilliantly too!

Love the history and love the painting Seok.

What a lovely study! The worn cab and the folds in the covering are beautifully painted. Lovely work again, Seok.

This is a super capturing in watercolour of this trusty old truck Seok, lovely to read about its history and to learn a little about your family and their business, love your colours in this truck and how you have shown some of the rusty areas on it as well

Lovely story and painting, vehicles had such character in those days, the cab almost has human features. A bit like the old charming childrens books.

What an interesting story Seok and you've preserved one of the old fleet for posterity in this lovely characterful study.

Things were made to last! Can'tagree more and the more they're worn the better they are as subjects to paint. Love this old lorry.....

Everything's been said already Seok, super WC and a lovely story.

Thanks so very much, everyone!

Oh how wonderful, bless it! It has worked very hard and got it's reward in your drawing Seok :)

Mean't to mention the colour, that sun-bleached pinky-red is very good.

Thanks so very much, Carole!

Great colour for the old lorry.I think the last time I saw a lorry of this shape it was camouflaged!

Thanks very much Fred! Camouflage indeed! I'm not THAT old, lol!

Love it and the background to its existence. I went shopping yesterday and I was bemoaning the fact you cannot by good quality in many places anymore; throwaway society .... Thank you for comment on my Cafe sketch. I will try to do a painting from that. A virus has felled me recently so I am behind "schedule"!

I love the history behind this. It's a great painting too. I saw a very old tractor the other day when out with the dog and it's on my to do list because it has amazing character just like this truck.

This truck has real character, almost like a cartoon vehicle. I half expected to see a face on it. Brilliant.

Thanks very much, Dawn and Diana!

Congratulations, Seok, on having your lovely old truck selected as a choice of the month

Thanks very much, Jenny!

Congratulations Seok - well deserved.

Been ages since I visited the biscuit and candy factory which my Granddad and Dad started in Malacca (West Malaysia) as an adjunct to their factory in Singapore. I was there last weekend and spotted this well worn transport truck that still carries our products throughout Peninsula Malaysia. According to my Dad, this Ford truck is one of a fleet that was plying the roads when I was a child. Back in those days, things were made to last. :)
