This is so interesting taken with your wonderful fruit painting. Not to say beautiful and brilliant and . . . Thank you for showing it to us.

Lovely work once again Seok and to think you once struggled with your greens!

Beautiful detail in this watercolour painting Seok really looks like we could walk into and amongst these trees, stunningly realistic watercolour work

What a fabulous watercolour, excellent work

Excellent watercolour again Seok! Greens beautifully mastered!

Love the way you've handled the fronds of the palm, super work Seok!

Who said you are wary of greens - this is just superb.

A beautiful painting of a touchy subject - palm oïl plantations and deforestation! (Sorry, had to say it.)

lovely deep painting.

This is great. I love all the greens and the detail is just wow.

Gorgeous, i really love your greens, don't know how you do it Seok!

This is amazing, Seok! All those beautiful gentle greens weaving together into one harmonious composition. One of your best I feel.

Thank you so very much, everyone! Carole, if you're interested, I've discovered Quinacridone Gold and New Gamboge, which seems to have made my struggles with green a little less tortured. They seem to mix better with my preferred blues - Pthalo Blue and Cobalt Blue. To darken, I add Burnt Sienna or Burnt Umber (another recent discovery). Still struggling with Indian Yellow and Aureolin. Avril, yes, it's a touchy topic for us out here in Singapore as well. It's the burning of the oil palm plantations by our ridiculous Indonesian neighbors that causes the horrendous haze over Singapore when the wind comes our way.

Love all your lovely greens, excellent

Not been on here for a while Seok, but have just seen your lovely painting. Well done !

Fabulous Seok, amazing greens and detail.

Gorgeous painting. Slightly mysterious atmosphere too .... Like Avril says, topical. I was listening to a programme about it all this afternoon. It doesn't alter the fact that these trees are beautiful.

Thanks very much, Glennis, Denise, Fiona and Gudrun!

Thank you so much Seok for sharing your receipe of colours for greens. I have written them down so I don't forget! very useful, I appreciate it.

Thanks very much, Barry!
