Fabulous Concept. Excellent Execution. (So good, but I couldn't live with it!)

@Skylar Brown: Yes that is the desired effect haha! Thank you!

A remarkably powerful painting on a frightening subject Seamas. A piece of gallery art not an "over the fireplace work". Beautifully painted and with a sobering message. Terrific work.

Incredible, disturbing, thought provoking, brilliant painting.

Jim Morris, Suzanne McQuade Thank you so much for your comments!

Glad you have found your way to the Gallery Seamus, it's nice to see your work. A disturbing piece but very well painted.

You have amazing talent Seamas.

Thanks Fiona and Margaret. I'll try my best to upload now and then. Time for me to visit your artwork 😜

Good luck with the finishing of the final piece. Will the pieces be exhibited?

No they won't be exhibited. These are commissioned paintings.

Oils on canvas. Approx 60x90cm. This is the first of a set of three. I'm still painting the final image. In a way these paintings altogether address the internal and external problems caused by addiction and other self destructive behaviours. This is the most violent of the three, with opposites Red and Green in close quarters combat with each other. There are gashes witching the paint surrounding the figure as if the canvas itself is wounded and weeping deep thick red.
