Another "timeless" work that is so appealing Gavin. It's unimportant in a family painting, but I'm going to be very unpopular for noting the hands are disproportionally small. Better it be noticed here surely. Apologies.

Thanks, Jim, for your critical observation. Perhaps I painted too many fingers on the parts of the hands protruding from the greenery, resulting on them appearing disproportionately small. I'll make some changes to the hands in the near future. For the time being I'm just trying to get motivated to paint again.

This is one of my favourites which will eventually go to my daughter Carolyn. It was based on an enlarged copy of magazine photo duly squared up. It is painted in water-mixable oils on sheet canvas fixed to mdf board. I can't say how long it took me to paint, but to took patience.
