This is one of my earliest paintings and the first I submitted for an exhibition. Unfortunately, the Local Authority staging the exhibition turned it down. Apparently, it was "not what it considered appropriate". The little girl, my daughter, was only innocently looking for the dolls panties. Yet that was considered "inappropriate". ---- narrow-minded!! ?? However, it has been exhibited since then without any difficulty, The painting was done in acrylics on sheet canvas bonded to sealed mdf.
