My favourite place in York , this is a superb painting Gavin . Bringing back memories as it was about the time the painting is set that I first went there. It didn’t have the TLC it receives now .

This painting is based on a 60 year old photo of The Shambles. It was painted in water-soluble oils on sheet canvas. It is one of my favourites, but unfortunately it was sold.
