Oh dear, it sounds like you're having terrible weather! Keep safe, Satu, and I hope the weather improves for everyone in England. You've done a sterling job with this - such beautiful placement of lines and shapes, with with a lovely, uplifting atmosphere!

Love this Satu! At first I thought it was a collage with all the blocks of colour, it's very effective. Here we have the first dry day for what seems like weeks and the sea isn't quite so rough today. We can hardly see out of our windows as they are covered in salty sea spray! Roll on spring! Hope you are not too badly affected by the flooding.

you at your best. ...keep dry.

It's even a bit damp in my notoriously rainy part of the UK! Really like the colours and design here Satu.

Lovely Satu. Feeling blue too....... everyone needs a big dose of sunshine and I'll send you some if I can!

Great style Satu - hope you are safe and dry!

I love the use of blocks of colour. Hope your weather improves

nicely abstracted, Satu. Yes it is dismal weather but I think we are due an improvement by the weekend

There was a cold breeze but, what joy, the sun actually shone in this part of Scotland today, such a change from all the wild wet weather of late. This oozes feelings of springtime and sunshine Satu. Like Seok says, very uplifting.

Thank you all very much for the lovely comments! We finally had a dry day but now it's raining again and the river is very high. Fingers and toes crossed!!

Absolutely love this!! I think the patches of colour work brilliantly well and whole painting has a wonderful feel of harmony about it. Super work.

Lovely soft pastel shades which remind me of spring and sunshine. Keep safe and dry Satu.

I just love your abstracts. You hit just the right colours, shapes and tone etc.

Thea, Fiona and Gudrun, thank you very much for your kind comments!

I hope the sun comes out for you this weekend - and the Thames barrier seems to be doing its job so fingers crossed for a better outlook. Certainly you have bought some sunshine to the website with this lovely painting. I love the colours and the simplicity of the shapes - a real breath of Spring to come. Happy new year Satu.

Thank you Julie and Very Happy New Year to you too! We still on dry land but the next couple of days are crucial. The Thames is very high and has already burst its banks upstream. Fingers crossed for sunny days!

Splendid! Hope that you are Ok where you are!

Thank you Sarah! We are OK for the moment but the neighbouring village is already under water so not fun. At least the sun was shining today and the water level went down a bit.

I went to our Tuesday painting afternoon session yesterday with one blank canvas and one old one. The subject was " I wish I were there". I didn't know what to do so decided to rescue the old painting with colours that I wished to be in. There are floods everywhere now and it's grey and horrible. This morning I was going to my art lesson but the road was closed and I can only hope that The Thames doesn't burst its banks. I hope also that you all are well and safe wherever you are.
