This one isn't scary at all Satu, in fact she has a very pleasing face, if just a little distant and lonely. I love your treatment of her, especially that slash of blue in her hair.

Lovely painting and interesting subject well done, Satu.

Thank you very much Fiona and Cesare for the comments, I'm glad that you find her pleasing, Fiona.

She has such lovely big brown eyes, a longing look about her Satu. The blue makes the painting even more interesting. Really well observed and good subject Satu.

Brilliantly painted mind you Satu, although perhaps a little sinister looking although I'm not an expert on dolls.

Thank you very much Carole and Alan for your kind comments

A fascinating composition Satu - it holds our attention

Many thanks Gudrun and Lynne for your comments. Old dolls are a bit haunting, much loved by somebody and then forgotten or lost.

There is something a little sad about her Satu which makes the viewer want to care for her. It's a super painting and she sparks the imagination about the many stories she could tell.

Thank you very much Val for your kind comment.

What is it about old dolls which stirs up feelings? They're just dolls and yet we wonder about the 'life' they've had. This one has that effect on the viewer, me anyway! She's beautifully painted and the addition of blue works again.

Thank you so much Louise for your comment!

I'm going to scare you a bit more with this painting of an old doll in a toy museum. They somehow fascinate me with the unknown history behind them.
